Places are now available for “Come and sing in Wells Cathedral Chapter House” on Saturday March 27th 2pm to 4pm with me, Matt Finch.
The music we will be singing is:

The Blue Bird - Stanford
Hear the voice and prayer - Tallis
Calme de Nuits - Saint-Sean
Drop, drop slow tears - Woodley
There are a couple of pieces from previous “Come and Sings” and also some new pieces; plus I’m very excited to share with you “Drop, Drop Slow Tears” composed by Margaret Woodley who will be joining us singing in the choir on the day.
As before, all music and sung learning tracks will be available on Drop Box for you to listen to and learn your parts in advance, and print out/download onto iPad. (An extra fee of £5 is charged if you want music printed and brought on the day).

As before, there will be no ‘note bashing’ on the day. You will need to become confident singing along with the learning tracks, or be a good sight reader. During the workshop we will be shaping the sound of the choir, and enjoying working with the fabulous reverberation in the Chapter House.

- Optional lunchtime concert at 1pm performed by the Cheddar Valley Singers
- 2:00 - 3:50pm workshop with Matt and the other singers (maximum 80) in the fabulous acoustics of the Wells Cathedral Chapter House
- 3:50pm to 4:00pm One piece to be sung in the Naive of the Cathedral
- 5:15pm Choral Evensong is likely to be taking place and the cathedral would love you to attend
