MATT FINCH
Matt has been bringing music to people for over 25 years in my capacity as musical director, choir leader, composer, arranger and teacher. As an enthusiastic, skilled and motivated musician he enjoys inspiring others to become fully involved and exceed their expectations. I work across all genres from Classical Choral tradition, Musical Theatre, and Pop, conducting a diverse range of choirs and orchestras, and also compose arrangements by commercial request. Matt has run MyPubChoir for several years - and gets random people together in a pub, and teaches them pop and rock songs, creating a unique blend! Matt currently leads 9 choir rehearsals a week. These range from Horizons, who sing multipart polyphony pieces like Palestrina and contemporary works by Eric Whitaker, to a monthly drop in choir called MyPubChoir when anyone and everyone can join in and have a hearty sing! |
JO SERCOMBE
Jo works in Bath and nationally as a vocalist, Musical Director and workshop leader and is particularly keen to make singing accessible to all, regardless of skill or experience. Her busy workshops schedule is a testament to her flair for encouraging creativity in others as she travels the country working with adult singing groups, community choirs, schools and colleges, businesses and leisure-time learning institutions. She’s even taken to singing upon the high seas, working with world cruise passengers sailing round the Far East and the Caribbean! Closer to home, she founded and directs the Bath Community Gospel Choir and the Vivid gospel trio, teaches Singing for Actors at Bath Spa University and creates original music with Young Carers through Bath Philharmonia’s Education programme & Outreach. Jo enjoys her role as President of the Priston Music Festival and working as a workshop leader for The Ambassador Theatre Group in London’s West End. |

HELEN ALTOFT
Helen believes creativity and self-expression are important components of our well-being. After attending an advanced drum camp with our other drum teachers Helen’s infectious enthusiasm and joy for learning and education put her on our radar. Her loyalty to her existing students and commitments gave us even more belief she would fit in perfectly here but meant we had to wait for a little while for her to come and teach with us. Her advanced drumming skills and solid performance experience coupled with her joy of teaching will help you find your happiness on the kit! |
