HORIZONS CODE OF CONDUCT
We want the choir to feel welcoming and inclusive, but as with any group of individuals, agreeing upon shared expectations and creating a safe space for everyone is important. Thus, all participants are asked to agree to the following before joining:

- If you aren’t well enough to perform/rehearse, please just let Matt know asap, stay at home and get well soon
- Members should support and respect the leadership of the choir director, and all other members at all times.
- The choir will not accept any form of negative, offensive, insulting, discriminatory or aggressive behaviour, whether written, verbal, or physical, towards others; ‘respect and dignity for all’ is very much at the heart
of our ethos. - For the overall comfort and safety of everybody, please avoid attending in-person rehearsals, workshops, and performances intoxicated.
- The choir expects a minimum of an 80% attendance rate for each term, unless there are extenuating circumstances, or a longer absence is agreed in advance with the Musical Director
- Members are required to prepare for rehearsals. The Sheet Music, Learning Tracks and rehearsal plans are provided in advance so that members can become familiar with their parts, so that during rehearsals, Matt can concentrate on blending, shaping, dynamics, and not too much note bashing.
- Different events will require slightly different "choir uniform". Most of the time it is concert wear. (Men DJ's with Royal Blue shirt, Ladies black concert dress with royal blue accessories)
- The Musical Directors (Matt’s) decision is final
