CHOIRMATE
We use ChoirMate to help run rehearsals, plan, track who can sing at what gig, share music & rehearsal tracks. It's an app that can be downloaded to your phone. We also have a whatsapp group for general chit chat too!

Membership is paid by a monthly Bank transfer. The monthly fee is £26 a month. This includes sheet music and the use of the ChoirMate app that we use to run the choir.

STANDARDS
Singers will need to sing in tune. Reading music is an advantage although non- prohibitive to enthusiastic members if willing to learn their part via the recorded MP3 provision to a reasonable level. We wish everyone to actively take part in rehearsal, be willing to work together, enjoy themselves and contribute to the positive and supportive atmosphere of the choir.

NO AUDITIONS
We do not ask people to go through the nerve-wracking procedure of individual auditions. In its place Matt will take a discreet opportunity to ‘listen in’ to all new members individually during a rehearsal, to just check for tuning. He will then either confirm your membership success at the end of the evening, or recommend a reputable singing teacher for those members who are keen to join but whom may not be quite ready.

WHAT TO WEAR
Please read the attached document that details what you will need to wear at each concert. The list should make us look uniform, but also give people flexibility to wear what they feel comfortable to stand and sing in.

AVAILABILITY FOR CONCERTS & ATTENDANCE
To help Matt plan rehearsals and gigs, it's good to know peoples availability. Matt will run polls in ChoirMate to see whether there enough singers for each concert planned. Once Matt decides that a concert is viable, the concert will be added to the Events list on the app. Each person is automatically added as "attending", so Matt asks each person to check their availability again and if you are not available, mark in as "Not Available"
